The appointment ceremony of the fifth Senior Police Call (SPC) Central Advisory Board (CAB) was held on May 16. Commissioner Siu Chak-yee appointed 17 SPC CAB members.

The SPC Scheme has been implemented comprehensively in the Force since February 2014. To secure the long-term development of the Scheme, a CAB has also been established. It comprises members from the academia, social welfare and elderly services to provide advice on the development of SPC. Police Public Relations Branch adopts a multi-agency approach to establish working partnership with major non-government organisations and non-profit organisations to explore collaboration opportunities and new platforms for promoting engagement of the elderly so as to maximise the effectiveness of the Scheme.
