With a view to enhancing collaboration with schools to prevent youth crime and protect students from falling prey to crimes, some Police Ambassadors of Project LEGACY joined hands with the Psychological Services Group of the Force to organise a seminar and interflow activities for the principal and over 120 teachers of their alma mater on February 10. In addition to sharing the latest crime trend on emerging cybercrime and youth crime, the officers analysed the profiling of youth victims from a psychological perspective to facilitate the teachers’ identification of vulnerable students so that timely intervention, as well as proper guidance and assistance, could be offered if required so as to reduce the chances of those students falling prey to crimes.

Officers also promoted Project LEGACY among the teachers and briefed on the development direction of their future events to solicit the teachers’ collaboration in exploring more diversified activities to facilitate long-term engagement. The officers took part in various ball games with the participants after the seminar to enhance mutual exchange. The Hong Kong Police Lawn Bowls Club also held a taster class for the teachers to experience lawn bowling.
