Commissioner Siu Chak-yee visited Sheung Shui Police Station on July 12 to exchange views with frontline officers of Sheung Shui Division (SSDIV). He thanked the officers for their commitment and dedication to duty. Apart from listening to the challenges faced by the frontline officers, the Commissioner shared his insights on how to formulate strategies to meet the emerging challenges in policing, as well as the measures that support the frontline officers in a more effective and targeted approach.


The Commissioner showed his support to the initiatives of supporting frontlines suggested by SSDIV, such as studying the handling procedures of “low threat” cases. He emphasised that effective internal communication could hold strength together and facilitate more smooth and effective execution of Divisional policing. The Commissioner also responded to officers’ questions regarding operation, manpower and welfare. He encouraged officers to continue performing their duties with professionalism to garner public support and their confidence in the Force. Officers of SSDIV expressed their gratitude towards the Commissioner’s visit to share his insights on frontline policing and strategies.
