To enhance police officers’ professional knowledge of commercial crime investigation, the Commercial Crime Bureau conducted two Commercial Crime Advanced Courses, one from November 29 to December 1, 2023 and the other from January 17 to 19, 2024 respectively. Experts from different law enforcement agencies and financial institutions were invited to share their experience and expertise in their respective fields. Over 100 participants from four jurisdictions and local regulators attended the courses.

Aiming to enhance the participants’ capability in analysing and investigating complex commercial crimes, the course covered a wide range of fields. Course speakers were law experts and representatives from law enforcement agencies, financial regulators and the banking sector. The participants also had the opportunity to exchange views with staff of multinational technology companies on topics such as AI and big data.
