At the invitation of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, Police Negotiation Cadre (PNC) sent a ten-member delegation to provide training at the provincial crisis negotiator training course in Zhuhai, Guangdong between May 26 and 31. The delegation was led by Chief Superintendent Li Kwai-wah and its members included Chief Inspectors Kong Sze-wan, Chow Anna Hsing-hsien and Yeung Quenson, Senior Inspectors Chu Yuen-tim and Hui Wing-yan, Inspectors Ku Yuen and Lau Kwok-chung, as well as Police Constables Leung Kwun-chak and Yu Choi.
The course covered the basic theory of crisis negotiation, case analysis, practical experience sharing and simulation demonstration. 49 police officers from Guangdong Province participated in this training with fruitful exchange of views and experiences. In the closing address, Li Kwai-wah remarked that the course provided an excellent platform for the exchange of crisis handling experiences between Mainland and Hong Kong Police. He encouraged trainees to live by the PNC motto “Who Cares Wins”, thereby serving people in need with passion, nobility and commitment.
Established in 1975, PNC has 108 members now and is in celebration of its 50 anniversary this year.
