Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (RCPO KE), in collaboration with Anti-Deception Coordination Centre, Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), and Hong Kong Association of Banks, held an anti-fraud and cybersecurity seminar at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) on September 19.


The event was officiated by Regional Commander of KE Dr Law Yuet-wing, District Commander of Tseung Kwan O Mak Man-yu, and Vice-President for Administration and Business of HKUST Professor Tam Kar-yan. Various representatives also provided insights into fraud trends and the latest deception techniques, shared anti-fraud measures from the Force, academic institutions and financial organisations to enhance awareness among university staff and students.


RCPO KE and Police Community Relations Office of Tseung Kwan O District organised 11 anti-fraud seminars for over 4 500 new entry students at the HKUST during the Orientation Month. KE remains committed to collaborating with community stakeholders to build a “scam-free campus”.
