The Hong Kong Police College (the College) was commended as “2024 Qualifications Framework in Action (QFIA) Achiever” by the Education Bureau (EDB) at the Qualifications Framework (QF) Partnerships Commendation Ceremony 2025 held on September 16. The commendation signified the QF application exemplary practices of the College in proactively developing QF-accredited programmes and steering the College’s internal quality assurance between 2022 and 2024. This marked the College’s second time receiving the same award which showcased the EDB’s recognition of the College’s effort in pursuing quality enhancement in the learning programmes.
The College continuously enhanced the quality of Force training programmes through Quality Assurance Mechanism and Internal Learning Programme Accreditation System. The College was the first government department granted the Programme Area Accreditation (PAA) status by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) in 2020, and has been entrusted to self-accredit the Force programmes within the Law Enforcement and Security area from QF Level 1 to 5. In 2024, the College passed the Periodic Institutional Review and the validity of its PAA status was extended for five years. The Force currently operates 18 QF-recognised programmes. Force officers can pursue continuous learning in universities or tertiary institutions through the Credit Accumulation and Transfer arrangements, further enhancing the professional standard of the Force.
