The Commandant of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force (HKAPF) Dr Leung Sai-kwong officiated the Auxiliary Police passing-out parade and inspected 72 graduates at the HKAPF Headquarters on November 1.

The Commandant of HKAPF congratulated the recruits for finishing the training and urged them to make contributions to the Force by upholding the spirit of dedication and professionalism, as well as demonstrating the power of “One Force” with regular officers in safeguarding Hong Kong. He reviewed the continuous expansion of Auxiliary duties over the past five years with daily turnout averaging 650 officers. Training is also continuously enhanced to support the regular officers to combat illegal acts.

The Commandant of HKAPF noted that the new Auxiliary members were selected from over 4 000 applicants, and they must cherish their mission. He raised three exhortations to encourage the new Auxiliary members –

1.Seize every duty as an opportunity to build skills. Participate in more beat patrols, major events or emergency turnout;

2.Leverage full-time expertise to assist in combatting cybercrime, developing smart tools and providing cross-industry insights; and

3.Maintain discipline and integrity rigorously, and support regular officers as citizens when off-duty to embody the “police-and-citizen” role.

He also appealed to the officers for active voting in the 2025 Legislative Council General Election to be held on December 7 to fulfil their civic responsibilities, and encourage their families and friends to join them.
