The Service Quality Wing (SQW) hosted the Police Staff Suggestions Scheme (PSSS) 2024 cum “Caring for Our Nation • Safeguarding National Security” Chinese Writing Competition 2025 awards presentation ceremony on November 20. 12 PSSS awards and 13 Chinese Writing Competition awards were presented respectively.
Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Tsui Sheung-yee pointed out in her opening speech that the Force would enhance service standards comprehensively and reinforce officers’ commitment to safeguarding national security, ensuring Hong Kong remains one of the safest and most stable societies in the world. She also encouraged officers to vote in the Legislative Council General Election on December 7.
PSSS, supervised and monitored by the Police Staff Suggestions Committee, which is chaired by the Director of Management Services, aims to encourage and motivate officers to raise suggestions for improving or streamlining workflows. The award-winning suggestions covered various areas including streamlining workflow and refining electronic management, etc.
SQW also co-hosted the Chinese Writing Competition with the National Security Department and the Police Chinese Culture Club, which aimed to enhance officers’ sense of national identity. The competition received an overwhelming response, with most of the participants from New Territories North Region, followed by New Territories South Region and Kowloon West Region.
