The New Territories South (NTS) Region held a Knowledge Management (KM) Seminar on Mental Health and Psychological Well-being on October 28 which drew over 100 officers.
The seminar was officiated by NTS Regional Commander Mak Chin-ho, Deputy Commander Yeung Man-pun, KM Ambassador Lai Pik-ngor, and representative from the Support Group Against Harassment. Clinical psychologist of the Psychological Services Group Fung Ho-kin, the Centre-in-charge of the Samaritan Befrienders Hong Kong Suicide Crisis Intervention Centre Ms Wai Choi-kei, and Chief Superintendent of Conditions of Service and Discipline Branch Au Yeung Mun-yee were invited as speakers. Topics covered included tips for stress management, suicide prevention and early intervention skills, as well as sexual harassment in the workplace. The seminar embodied the Force’s emphasis on officers’ mental health and professional conduct.
