On the morning of October 2, the informant sought police assistance after realising that his 17-year-old son, who suffered from anxiety disorder, ran away from home and posted messages online expressing suicidal thoughts.
Upon receiving the report, the Police immediately launched a search operation in collaboration with several government departments. Officers from Platoon 2 of Police Tactical Unit Operational Contingents (2) performed careful analysis of the information left by the missing person online for clues and gradually narrowed the search area down. Through close coordination among the search teams, the informant’s son was eventually located in a hill stream area in Tsuen Wan District. The informant expressed heartfelt gratitude to the officers for their professionalism and efforts.
