The MTR trains manufactured in Qingdao (Q-Train) will commence service on the Tsuen Wan Line in the first quarter of 2026 to replace some of the existing older models. To enhance frontline officers’ knowledge of the internal features of the new train as well as enhancing their capability in handling related incidents, the Railway Division (RAIL) of Operations Wing arranged a briefing session on November 4 at the MTR Kowloon Bay Depot. Over 20 officers from New Territories South, Kowloon West, and RAIL participated.

Representatives from the MTR Corporation introduced key features of the new train during the session, including the in-train CCTV system and security equipment, and explained the procedures for opening passenger and cab doors in emergency situations.
