To strengthen officers’ understanding of the threat of online terrorism and extremism activities, the Security Wing invited Assistant Professor of Criminology of the University of Macau Dr Jiang Bo to the Police Headquarters to host a counter-terrorism (CT) talk on December 18, 2025.

The talk attracted over 60 officers from the CT Intelligence Cadre. Dr Jiang Bo provided an in-depth analysis of the correlation between online sentiments and violent acts in the society, and illustrated how to apply a scientific and mathematical framework to real life occurrences.

The Security Wing will continue to arrange professional CT training to further enhance the overall CT knowledge and capabilities of officers.
