To enhance the anti-scam awareness of Mainland students in Hong Kong, Tin Sum Division held a “HuXueXin” thematic activity on December 19, 2025, which attracted 12 representatives of Mainland students in Hong Kong from five local universities.

On that day, the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories South held an anti-scam talk which analysed prevalent tactics of telephone deception and online shopping scams using real-life examples, and shared the countermeasures and verification methods for scams with the participants. The event also arranged police station visit experience. Guided by officers, participants observed in close proximity the professional equipment of the Emergency Unit of New Territories South and Road Safety Patrol, and proceeded to the Report Room to understand the daily workflow of frontline officers handling members of the public who asked for help. An interactive booth was set up on that day where the anti-scam knowledge of the participants was reinforced through quiz games.

Mainland students in Hong Kong who participated in the event stated they would bring what they learnt in the event back to the campuses and communities to promote anti-scam with friends. Project “HuXueXin” aims to enhance the anti-scam awareness of Mainland students in Hong Kong through personal experience and interactive education.
