Elderly Showcase and Anti-Deception Carnival
Wong Tai Sin District (WTSDIST) and the Wong Tai Sin Senior Police Call (SPC) Honorary President Council co-hosted the Elderly Showcase and Anti-Deception Carnival on January 18. The event, with the theme “Live Your True Self” and with anti-deception promotion incorporated, attracted over 260 citizens in the district.
District Commander of WTSDIST Yau Kin-hung, Deputy District Commander Sum Ching-fun, along with Chairman of the WTSDIST SPC Honorary President Council Mr Ng Kai-shing, Vice Chairman
Mr Ng Yu-chiu, and Presidents Mr Ip Yau-yuk and Mr Leung Chi-wai, attended the showcase as judges. SPC members demonstrated their self-confidence and talent through self-introduction, Q&A session and anti-deception drama.
In addition to on-site anti-deception promotion booths to promote the message “Scams evolve daily, remind those around you”, an “Elf Transformation” role-play competition was also arranged for children in the district, demonstrating a spirit of intergenerational harmony.
Sai Kung Anti-Deception Challenge
WTSDIST, in collaboration with the Sai Kung District Fight Crime Committee, the Sai Kung District Office, and the Sai Kung District Community Centre, organised the “Sai Kung Anti-Deception Challenge” which was a two-week anti-deception promotional campaign held from December 29, 2025 to January 9 of this year.
On the opening day of the event, WTSDIST Police Community Relations Office, along with Chairman of the Sai Kung District Fight Crime Committee Mr
Ng Sze-fuk; committee members Mr
Chan Kwok-kai and Mr Wong Wang-to; as well as Sai Kung District Members Mr
Chan Kuen-kwan and Mr Yau Ho-lun, conducted promotions in the vicinity of Chan Man Street in Sai Kung. Through interactive Q&A sessions and game booths, common deception tactics and prevention strategies were shown to citizens so that they grasped anti-deception skills and promote them to family and friends.
