The Dowman Road Race, an annual event of the Police Athletics Club (PAC), took place at Pak Tam Chung, Sai Kung on January 10. Commissioner Chow Yat-ming and several senior officers were present to cheer for the participants and helpers, and the atmosphere was vibrant. This year’s race revived the “Retro Route” with an earlier start time, adding both significance and challenge to the race.

Participants gave their best efforts to achieve outstanding results. The Operations Wing of the New Territories South Region was crowned the Championship in the category of Other Formation/Unit; the Police College won the Championship of Women’s Team; while the Championship of Specialist Unit went to Operations Wing. The race not only promoted healthy lifestyle, but also inspired officers’ enthusiasm and commitment to sports, fully demonstrating the vitality and unity of the Force.

PAC expressed gratitude to all volunteers and staff for their unwavering support which enabled the event to be held smoothly. In addition, PAC will hold the Police Athletics Championships at Wan Chai Sports Ground on May 13. They welcome officers to participate in the event enthusiastically, and carry forward the sportsmanship.
