The Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch held the PHM Carnival 2025 cum Annual Force Colours Award Presentation Ceremony at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on January 11. The event attracted a total of 12 500 participants, including regular officers, auxiliary officers, civilian officers, and their family members.


The carnival offered a rich variety of programmes including National Games-themed interactive games, children’s creative play zone, experience session for pickleball, and dog park embracing pet-friendliness. Moreover, the organiser provided several game booths, wonderful stage performances, training demonstrations by the Police Dog Unit, food street, and an ice-cream van for participants of all ages.


Commissioner Chow Yat-ming attended the carnival and served as the Guest of Honor for the presentation ceremony. A total of 28 officers were awarded the Annual Force Colours Award for Sports and 15 officers were presented with the Award for Arts in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions in the relevant field. Among the awardees, Police Athletics Club’s member Police Constable Poon Kam-ling was awarded the Watson Cup for her exceptional performances and contributions in sports over the past year, whilst the Counter Terrorism & Major Incidents Bureau was awarded the Purdon Shield.


Fitness Training Room Management Excellence Awards were also presented to encourage formations to promote healthy lifestyle continuously. Central District, Tseung Kwan O District, and Traffic Kowloon West won the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards respectively, while New Territories North Regional Headquarters, Wan Chai Division, Ma On Shan Division, and Marine South Division received Merit Awards. Finally, five main awards and ten merit awards for the Comradeship Story Competition were presented to commend officers for their mutual support and adherence to their original aspirations during challenging times.


The event fully embodied the Force’s commitment to promoting physical and mental well-being and encouraging diversified development, further strengthening team cohesion and the sense of belonging.
