The Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) held the Gold Award Presentation Ceremony 2025 on January 22. Chief Executive Mr John Lee officiated at the ceremony and presented the awards to honour the outstanding achievements of young people in self-challenge and community service.
Commissioner Chow Yat-ming and Chief Superintendent of the Public Relations Wing Lam Sze-wan attended the ceremony to congratulate the Junior Police Call (JPC) members who received the Gold Award, encouraging them to continue serving as positive role models.
This year, a total of 87 young people received the Gold Award, with a record high of 27 awardees being JPC members under the Hong Kong Police Operating Authority. This achievement not only demonstrates JPC members’ resilience, self-discipline and active participation in community affairs, but also highlights the effectiveness of the JPC Scheme in cultivating positive values among youth and strengthening police-community collaboration with the motto of nurturing Youth Leaders and Fight Crime Partners.
