The Force’s Security Operations Centre (SOC), officially commissioned on January 23, is the first security operations centre specialising in cyber security of the Hong Kong Government, and a showcase of the Force’s pioneering advancement in cyber security infrastructure.

In the opening address, Commissioner Chow Yat-ming remarked that, in the face of an increasingly complex security environment, the SOC would provide countermeasures to safeguard the Force’s digital services and information assets.

The new facilities of the SOC consolidate and enhance existing cyber security resources and defense capabilities. Through real-time cyber threat detection, coordinating incident response, and continued research to identify cyber risks, the SOC has strengthened the Force’s digital defense system.
