To enhance national security education and promote the fine traditional Chinese culture, the National Security Department (NSD), in collaboration with the Police Handicraft Club, Public Relations Wing, Yau Tsim District and Project Legacy, organised the NSpring Chinese New Year Art Fair at K11 Art Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui between February 12 and 16. The opening ceremony was officiated by Commissioner Chow Yat-ming, Deputy Commissioner (National Security) Kan Kai-yan, Director of National Security Kong Hok-lai, renowned ceramics master Ho Tai-kwan, Chairperson of Police Handicraft Club Tsui Sheung-yee and other distinguished guests. The Commissioner and Ho Tai-kwan even wrote Chinese calligraphy on the spot.

The art fair featured a ceramics exhibition displaying over 30 pieces of ceramics work created by Ho Tai-kwan and the Police Handicraft Club, while illustrating the close relationship between national security and daily lives through artistic expression. The event also featured various workshops, the NSmart National Security Quiz and an exhibition on national security information.

Junior Police Call, Senior Police Call, as well as secondary and primary schools in different districts were invited to join the art fair. Attracting over 7 000 members of the public, the event had distributed over 5 000 souvenirs including NSD Reporting Hotline wishful knots and NS red packets to the participants.
