“Walking with Schools” Exchange Luncheon


On January 28, Kwai Tsing District (KWTDIST) organised the “Walking with Schools” Exchange Luncheon, and invited a total of 106 persons who were principals and school representatives from 30 secondary schools and 26 primary schools in the District.


District Commander of KWTDIST Wong Wang-yip gave an opening address for the luncheon. Crime officer and Police Community Relations Officer subsequently briefed the attendees about youth crime trends in the District and the 2026 year plan respectively. During the event, school principals also exchanged views with officers across a range of topics.


“Kwai Tsing Fight Crime Wall” Mural Completion Ceremony


The “Kwai Tsing Fight Crime Wall” Mural Completion Ceremony was held on January 30. Over 300 volunteers, including members of the Junior Police Call (JPC) and Senior Police Call (SPC), ethnic minority teens, as well as teachers and students from schools in the District, participated in the project which took six months for the preparation and production. District Officer (Kwai Tsing) Mr Leung Shing-lung, Regional Commander of New Territories South Cheung Wai-wah, District Commander of KWTDIST Wong Wang-yip, Chairman of District Fight Crime Committee (Kwai Tsing District) Mr Lam Chor-chiu, several community organisation representatives, as well as Presidents of JPC and SPC were invited as the officiating guests.


The mural was designed by Arts Consultant of “Paint Beautiful Hong Kong” Ms Riitta Kuisma, which integrates landmarks in Kwai Tsing District with Chinese traditional culture, and incorporates police mascots to promote messages such as scam prevention, crime prevention, and traffic safety.
