The “Force Working Group on Non-Ethnic Chinese” joined hands with several disciplined services, the Race Relations Unit of the Home Affairs Department (HAD), and several Support Service Centres for Ethnic Minorities across Hong Kong to host the first “Anti-Crime cum Job Fairs for Ethnic Minorities” at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on February 14. With 23 booths, the event which drew over 400 attendees aimed to raise young people’s anti-deception and fight-crime awareness, as well as provide life planning support and employment information.

During the event, Indian Sikh Police Constable Singh Palvinderjit, Pakistani Auxiliary Police Constable Mohammad Humzah Sharif, as well as two serving aviation security staff shared their personal experiences and career development insights. The hosts of the session, Chinese-Filipino Inspector Wong Ka-hing and Pakistani Woman Police Constable Mohammad Heina Rizwan, also drew on their own experiences and encouraged young people at the venue to pursue their dreams courageously and plan for their futures proactively.

Project for Healthy Families, as well as several Force Projects such as Project Gemstone, Project Torch, Project Mama, and Project Star Making. This fully demonstrates the collective determination of all sectors of the community to promote racial harmony.

The “Force Working Group on Non-ethnic Chinese” was established in 2006. Its scope of work covers enhancing the Force’s understanding of the development of NEC issues, as well as establishing a platform among units to share successful experiences in promoting relevant initiatives, facilitating the implementation of related measures within the Force.
