The Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) AY 2024/25 Awards Ceremony was held on March 3, with the attendance of over 100 mentors, mentees, school representatives, project officers and families of awardees. The ceremony was broadcast live for the first time, allowing mentors and mentees unable to attend in person to watch via live broadcast.

During the winter of 2024 and the summer of last year, many students participated in internships in various units of the Force. Their projects covered areas such as research, event planning and information technology.

The internship programme received over 240 reports. They were first evaluated by the mentor representatives from participating schools, followed by a selection of the top ten winners by the Human Resources Branch. The three most outstanding mentees were invited to present their reports at the ceremony. Their presentations were scored during the event by a judging panel, which was led by the Head Mentor cum Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Dr Law Yuet-wing, to determine the top three positions.

The gold award went to Law Chi-ching from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the silver award to Cheung Ting-ting from the University of Hong Kong, and the bronze award to Lam Cheuk-yin from the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.
