To consolidate the professional knowledge and handling skills of the Support Group Against Harassment members, the Complaints and Internal Investigations Branch (C&IIB) organised two annual training sessions on February 11 and March 4, which were participated by a total of 250 Major Formation Coordinators, Formation Coordinators, and Training and Staff Relations Officers.
Representatives from the Equal Opportunities Commission, the Psychological Services Group, and the Integrity Audit Action Group were invited as speakers for the training sessions, with a focus on enhancing the practical capabilities of the Support Group Coordinators in handling help-seeking workplace harassment cases. The training sessions covered relevant legislation and counselling techniques, and also enabled the Coordinators to gain an understanding of the various scenarios of workplace harassment and their respective response strategies through case-sharing. Furthermore, there were practical exercise sessions to guide the Coordinators in applying theoretical knowledge to simulated help-seeking situations.
The C&IIB will continuously optimise the professional training for the Group, enhance officers’ awareness of workplace harassment, and strengthen the culture of mutual respect within the Force.
Since its establishment in December 2024, the Support Group Against Harassment has been coordinated by C&IIB to provide timely support to officers with concerns over workplace harassment through a network comprising Major Formation Coordinators and Formation Coordinators across the Force.
