CT Forum 2026

Senior Superintendent of the Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) Leung Wai-ki was invited to Singapore to attend the “Counter Terrorism (CT) Forum 2026” organised by the regional security think tank Centinel on May 20.
Leung Wai-ki outlined at the forum how to strengthen intelligence sharing, prevention work and public education through inter-departmental collaboration to address the evolving terrorism threat.

The forum featured a series of keynote speeches and thematic discussions, providing a platform for more than 70 CT experts and participants from 17 different countries and regions to share professional knowledge and practical experience.

CT foundation and advanced courses

The Security Wing organised a CT foundation course on April 28 and 29, followed by a CT advanced course from May 13 to 15. A total of 48 inspectorate officers from various units participated in the courses.

The courses began with the sharing of expertise and experience by representatives from various CT units under the Force and member departments of the ICTU, complemented by scenario-based field exercise. The courses also arranged several site visits, and the trainees visited the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy for the first time.

At the conclusion of the courses, Assistant Commissioner (Security) Ng Cheuk-hang presented certificates to the trainees. He emphasised the crucial role of frontline officers in CT work and hoped that trainees would share their acquired knowledge with colleagues, thereby further strengthening the overall CT capabilities of the Force.
