On May 15, Project Legacy, the Police College (College) and the St. Paul’s College Parent Teacher Association (PTA) jointly organised the College Experience Day. On that day, students from St. Paul’s College visited the School of Foundation Training to gain firsthand experience of the campus life of Recruit Police Constables.
In his speech, Commissioner Chow Yat-ming, an alumnus of St. Paul’s College, encouraged the current students and expressed hope that they would cherish the opportunity to participate in the activity. Under the guidance of College staff and with the assistance of Probationary Inspectors, the students engaged in experiential and action-based learning activities to learn about the core elements of police work, including careful observation, evidence gathering, problem-solving and teamwork. PTA members accompanying the group also remarked that the activity deepened their understanding of the discipline and importance of police training.
