The Kowloon West Youth-Care Committee (KWYCC) held its 26th Inauguration and Commendation Ceremony on May 14. During the event, trainees with outstanding performance were awarded scholarships, and 11 trainees received elementary dragon boat training certificates. Regional Commander of Kowloon West (RC KW) Ng Lok-chun also presented certificates of appreciation to volunteers from various police districts in recognition of their contributions.

The KWYCC has been established for 26 years, consistently upholding the mission of “Supporting Youths, Protecting Juveniles”. In collaboration with the Juvenile Protection Section of Kowloon West Region, Government departments and youth service stakeholders, the KWYCC provides a diverse range of life planning activities for young people in need. Looking ahead, the KWYCC will enhance the Youth Professional Mentorship Programme by matching mentors with trainees according to their aspirations. The KWYCC will also provide regular training in dragon boating, marathon and other activities, and support trainees to participate in international competitions, thereby helping them broaden their horizons and develop resilience.
