Under the arrangement of the Police College (College), Superintendent Chan Choi-hing led a 12-member delegation to visit the People’s Public Security Forces under the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam between July 6 and 10. During the visit, the delegation called on the Office of the Investigation Police Agency, the People’s Police Academy, Yen Hoa Ward Police Station and the Hanoi Traffic Police Division.
The delegation shared with the Vietnamese counterparts the challenges faced by the Force in tackling deception and cybercrime, the application of technology in smart policing, and the efforts in Marine Police training. In turn, the Vietnamese officers shared their latest achievements in combatting transnational cyber fraud, utilising advanced technology (including an AI-enabled traffic command centre) to support law enforcement, as well as police officer training. Both sides agreed that strengthening cooperation is essential for combatting transnational crimes.
The exchange not only facilitated professional knowledge sharing between the law enforcement agencies of the two places, but also served to further reinforce their partnership.
