To commend the awardees of the NStudio Marketing Proposal Competition, the National Security Department arranged for them a series of guided tours in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.

Following their earlier visit to the KMB Kowloon Bay Depot, the awardees visited the CLP Power Low Carbon Energy Education Centre at City University of Hong Kong on July 22. During the visit, they learned about various topics, such as climate change and energy options, renewable energy, natural gas and nuclear power. They also gained an in-depth understanding of how to address the challenges posed by climate change through the use of low-carbon energy, and explored the future directions of energy development.

The visit helped the awardees realise that resource security, nuclear security, science and technology security, and ecological security are interconnected with national security and closely related to our daily lives. By conserving water, electricity and gas, as well as adopting green travel habits, we can all work together to safeguard national security.
