On August 15, the Police College (College) held its first “Introductory and Recruitment Seminar for Police Arts and Sports Clubs” to promote a healthy lifestyle among Probationary Inspectors and Recruit Police Constables undergoing training. Under the theme “United by Arts & Sports, Connected with Hearts”, the seminar drew over 300 trainees. Director of the College Cheng Lai-ki was also present to show support. She emphasised that the Force valued the physical and mental well-being of officers. She encouraged trainees and their family members to relieve work stress through joining the affiliated club activities and developing their valuable skills at the same time.
On the day of the event, 28 Sports and Arts Clubs set up interactive booths and games at the scene, covering Chinese culture, handicrafts, calligraphy, Wushu and a wide variety of sports. The Police Volunteer Services Corps also introduced the volunteer services and charitable activities at the scene.
