To enhance the professionalism of the Field Operational Support Teams (FOSTs) and Commander’s Logistics Teams (COLTs) of respective Regional Response Contingent and Headquarters Response Contingent, the Counter Terrorism & Major Incidents Bureau of Operations Wing hosted an annual training session on August 4. Over 130 officers participated. The training aimed to consolidate officers’ understanding of the responsibilities and roles of their sub-unit, the Force Command Structure and Command Cadre, and underscore the importance of log-keeping. The training also facilitated experience sharing among officers to ensure they are competent in providing support and performing logistical duties for upcoming large-scale international conferences.

The Counter Terrorism & Major Incidents Bureau, in collaboration with the Learning Technologies Division of the Police College, introduced the “New Generation Scenario-based Interactive Multiplayer Simulation System” (SIMS 2) in the training, and conducted a tabletop exercise. The system provided an interactive multiplayer simulation platform that supports real-time multimedia data transmission. Instructors can design different virtual scenarios according to the development of the plot, enabling trainees to play different roles, communicate and collaborate with teammates.
