DONATING his time, talent and drawing power, Hong Kong movie superstar Jackie Chan recently took on the role of a traffic officer in the congested streets of Tsim Sha Tsui during the production of a new road safety video that is part of the Hong Kong Police Force's and Road Safety Council's latest drive to alert, motivate and educate Hong Kong motorists and pedestrians (especially the young and elderly) about the importance of obeying traffic signs and the rules of the road.

$1.5 million Force donation to mainland flood victims

ON 28 September, the President of the Hong Kong Red Cross, Betty Tung, received a cheque for $1.5 million raised by Hong Kong Police members for flood victims in the mainland. Mrs Tung was touched by Force members' enthusiasm for helping the victims. DCP MAN Tsang Yam-pui said at the presentation ceremony that the fund raising campaign was initiated by Force members and that, in addition to individual contributions, some formations and police clubs had organised special activities to raise money.
