Crime HKI uploads new website

Hong Kong Island Regional Crime Headquarters has launched its own website on the Police Intranet (POINT) for officers to access information and communicate with the formation.

Uploaded on March 7, the site features a variety of information including facts on Regional administration, duty charter of respective units, crime figures and other useful data which will be updated regularly.

Both Uniform Branch and Crime officers are sure to find the site interesting, providing info not easily accessible in Districts.

The site was planned and designed by HKI Crime's Acting Superintendent (Administration and Support) Lai Chi-kin, on the recommendation of HKI Crime Senior Superintendent Wong Fook-chuen. Colleagues are welcome to browse the site and offer feedback to the formation for further improvements.

  • The Police Public Relations Branch now has more info available on its POINT page. Apart from access to the Daily Media Review and OffBeat, Intranet users can now have access to the media summary produced daily by the Information Services Department, Force letters sent to the editors of both English and Chinese newspapers, major press releases and replies to media enquiries on major, controversial and sensitive issues.

More items will be added later to further enhance the site and its info. PPRB welcomes feedback on the page.

    Quartering and Housing homepage well-received

The Quartering and Housing Webpage is proving popular among Force staff registering more than 26,000 visitor hits since its launch last August.

Jointly developed by Police Quartering Division and Information Technology Branch, the site allows staff to make on-line enquiries on various civil servant housing benefits and relevant application procedures.

It covers Departmental Quarters, the Civil Service Public Housing Quota, the Home Purchase and Home Financing Schemes.

The Division is now reviewing and refining the page and a new on-line service for quarters application will be launched soon.

Look out for announcements on the formal implementation date. The page can be found under "Welfare & Sport" in POINT.
