Mainland tourists hail top service

(This letter was sent to OffBeat via email)

We joined a package tour and visited Hong Kong during the National Day holidays. We spent US$1,220 to buy two mobile phones and a camera lens from an audio-visual shop in Tsim Sha Tsui on October 5.

Later we found we were cheated by the shop and requested our money back. The shopkeepers refused. We reported the case to Police and five officers arrived at the scene shortly after, and handled our case impartially. Finally, we got our money back thanks to the assistance of the officers. Their top efficiency and enthusiastic help are highly appreciated.

Xie Ling and Deng Guanghe

(Editor's note: The five officers were Tsim Sha Tsui Patrol Sub-unit Team Two Sergeant Lo Wing-wai, Police Constables Chu Ka-chun, Chan Chak-tai, Fung Yiu-Tung and Shek Wai-sang.)
