First AGM for Police IT Society

The first Annual General Meeting of the Police Information Technology Society will be held December 1 at the Senior Officers' Mess in Police Headquarters from 6.30 pm. The AGM will formally establish the Society, approve the Constitution and elect the Committee. A formal opening ceremony is scheduled for early next year.

The Society aims to promote interest among Regular, Auxiliary and civilian staff and their families in all aspects of computers, information systems and IT. The Provisional Committee has put together the framework for the Society and great things lie ahead! Plans are in store to hold visits, workshops and other functions involving prominent guest speakers of the IT world. Annual membership is $50, or $100 for families.

The first Committee will be elected at the AGM, so those interested in joining should notify the Provisional Secretary or Provisional Membership Secretary before December 1. All interested officers are welcome to attend the first AGM. For further details contact the Provisional Secretary Winna Leung (2804-1435 ip-sip-cppu-crm@police.com.hk) or the Provisional Membership Secretary Stephen Handley (2860-8999 salhandley@aol.com). Hope to see you there!
