Road safety drives


"Please remember, Sir, click-clack front and back!"

The New Territories South Road Safety Unit held a bus safety drive January 29 to February 2. Leaflets and posters carrying the messages were distributed and posted at 60 bus terminals in Kwai Tsing, Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin Districts.

  • The New Territories North Road Safety Patrol Annual Inspection was held February 4 at Tin Shui Wai Playground with over 1,200 participants. Awards were also presented to the winning teams of the patrol competition.

  • Police Road Safety Teams, Kowloon West Traffic, and Yau Tsim, Mong Kok, Kowloon City and Sham Shui Po District Traffic Teams held a drive to remind taxi drivers and passengers of the importance of seatbelt fastening, February 8.

    Officers also joined Kowloon West Road Safety Patrol members and taxi trade representatives to visit 10 taxi terminuses in Tsim Sha Tsui, Jordan, Mong Kok, Kowloon City and Sham Shui Po. Publicity leaflets, stickers and other items were distributed to drivers and passers-by.
