September support for the health-impaired

A new round of Health-Impaired Officers' Support Group meetings will run each Friday in September. Personnel Wing officers will talk on the policy and working procedure on handling health-impaired officers and experts are also invited to introduce rehabilitation activities and knowledge.

The Force takes an encouraging and supportive attitude towards health-impaired officers, helping them to adjust to work pressure, in keeping a healthy mentality and in holding an altruistic working morale.

The Welfare Services Group subsidises all programme expenses. Participants only pay for their personal expenses such as lunch. Participants are also granted authorised absence from duty for the four days of meetings.

Junior Police Officers meeting the following criteria are welcome to indicate interest - spouses are also welcome to participate:

1) Placed on the active list of health-impaired officers;

2) Never participated in previous rounds of the support group; and,

3) Are not due for retirement in the next three years.

Please contact Kowloon East Assistant Police Welfare Officer Vincent Tsui on 2304-1401 for enquiries and registration.
