Pupils at the H.K.S.K.H Tung Chung Day Nursery jointly drew a picture to say thank you to 'Uncle Policemen' at the Lantau North Division for quickly arresting a suspect in connection with a burglary at their school.

On March 24, these Policemen returned to the nursery to receive this nice drawing. They also had a little chitchat with the kids, during which they were taught how to be good children.

Earlier on February 17, the Nursery found that cash and commodities worth a total of $6,500 went missing over the weekend. Thanks to the alertness of Police Constables Mr Hung Hau-man and Mr Chan Ka-shing, the pair arrested a suspect linked to this case during their patrols in Fu Tung Estate, Tung Chung.

The officer-in-charge of the Nursery, Ms Cheuk Kam-yuen, praised the officers in the Lantau North Division for swiftly bringing the culprit to justice. She also thanked Senior Police Constable Mr Wong Chi-wah of the New Territories South Regional Crime Prevention Unit for giving them professional advice after the burglary.

Ms Cheuk also appreciated the Police efforts to turn the area into a safe place and would continue to work with the Police to maintain a harmonious environment for the Tung Chung community.
