Appeal for information on abandoned boy

Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a mentally handicapped boy who was found abandoned in Mong Kok on March 27.

At about 7 pm, a passer-by found a boy wandering in Mong Kok. A report was then made to Police.

The boy is about six to seven years of age and standing about 1.2 metres in height. He is of thin build with short straight hair.

When he was found, he was wearing an orange-blue jacket, red short-sleeved sweater, a pair of dark blue trousers and a pair of blue-white sports shoes. The boy speaks Putonghua and has difficulty in communication.

Police urged relatives of the boy or anyone who has information to offer to contact the investigating officers at 2398 6255.
