Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 25-year-old man was killed in Tseung Kwan O on April 22.

At about 3.40am, the 25-year-old man was driving a light goods vehicle (LGV) along Tseung Kwan O Tunnel Road heading for Wan Po Road. When reaching near the exit of the tunnel, it reportedly lost control and hit the left side barrier. The LGV overturned and the driver was thrown onto the opposite lane. A 26-year-old male passenger sustained slight injury.

After the impact, the driver and the passenger were rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where the driver was certified dead at 1.51am on April 23.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are proceeding.
