Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Tsuen Wan

Police appealed to the public for information on a traffic accident in Tsuen Wan this (August 9) evening in which a 31-year-old man was killed.

Shortly after 6.50 pm, a private car travelling along Tuen Mun Road towards Tsuen Wan reportedly lost control near Sham Tseng and rammed into the barriers on the left.

After the impact, the vehicle overturned and caught on fire. Firemen arrived at scene and put out the fire later.

The 31-year-old driver was trapped inside the car compartment and was rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious burnt injuries, he was certified dead at scene.

Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are underway.
