Appeal for information on suspects of a wounding case on Sunday

Police today (August 25) appealed to members of the public to provide information on the identity and whereabouts of the four assailants who were suspected to be involved in a wounding case in Central on Sunday (August 20).

At 5.15 pm on August 20, The Hon Albert Ho Chun-yan was attacked by four men armed with wooden batons while he was having snack inside a fast food restaurant at Queen's Road Central in Central.

Sustaining injuries on his head, mouth and nose, Mr Ho was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital for medical treatment. He was discharged from the hospital yesterday (August 24).

Enquiries revealed that the four assailants were all wearing black colour caps at the time of the incident.

Following active and in-depth investigation by the Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island, the identikits of two of the assailants were issued today.

One identikit showed that one culprit is aged 20-30, 1.71 metres in height, with short black hair, small eyes and a big face in fair complexion and is of strong build. He was wearing white T-shirt, a pair of khaki long pants when last seen.

The other identikit revealed that another culprit is aged 20-30, about 1.75-metre tall, of strong build and was wearing a white polo T-shirt, a pair of dark blue jeans when last seen.

The third culprit is aged about 30, 1.7 metre tall and is of medium to fat built. He and the fourth culprit were both wearing a light colour top and a pair of dark color pants when last seen.

Anyone who has information on the identity or whereabouts of the four assailants is urged to contact the investigation officers of Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island on 2860 7885. The identity of anyone providing information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
