Kowloon East Regional Traffic Day

A total of 191 Fixed Penalty Tickets (FPTs) and 155 summonses were issued to motorists and pedestrians who violated traffic regulations during an operation by Traffic Kowloon East yesterday (January 23).

The Kowloon East Regional Traffic Day was conducted between 7 am and 11 pm yesterday and 225 officers from Traffic Kowloon East, District Traffic Teams of Wong Tai Sin, Sau Mau Ping and Kwun Tong were deployed to enforce regulations at the traffic accident blacksites and the potential traffic accident locations in Kowloon East Region.

Another 153 FPTs were issued for illegal parking and other parking offences.

A total of 111 pedestrians and 52 drivers were verbally warned for committing jaywalking and other minor traffic offences.

Meanwhile, pamphlets and leaflets on road safety message were also distributed to the road users.
