Appeal for information on dead body found in Lantau (with photo)

Police today (April 18) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found on Lantau on March 28.

At about 1.50 pm on March 28, Police received a report that a body was found lying prone inside a narrow gap at a rocky beach near San Shek Wan on Lantau. It was later confirmed to be a female aged about 20 to 40.

Standing about 1.49 metres, the deceased was wearing a long-sleeved beige coloured shirt, a green jacket with a soft hat and English characters "TMX" printed on front, a pair of dark grey jeans and a pair of socks when found.

Renminbi 31 dollars were found on the body while no identity document could be found at scene. Initial Police investigation revealed that there was no suspicious circumstance surrounding her death.

Police urged anyone who knows the identity of the deceased to contact investigating officers of Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-Unit of Lantau North Division on 2988 2330.
