Fatal traffic accident in Sha Tin

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 58-year-old woman was killed in Sha Tin tonight (June 7).

Shortly after 8 pm, a medium goods vehicle driven by a 55-year-old man was travelling along Che Kung Miu Road. After turning left into Hin Keng Estate, the vehicle turned left again into a slip road where it knocked down a bicycle.

Sustaining serious injuries, the 58-year-old female motorcyclist was certified dead by the ambulancemen at scene.

Investigations by Accident Investigation Team of Traffic New Territories South are underway.
