Appeal for information on burglary in Yuen Long (with Photo)

Police appeal to members of the public to provide information on a burglary in which US$1.2 million worth of computer parts were stolen in Yuen Long today (July 16).

Initial enquiries revealed that the staff left the godown on No. 8, Ping Tong Street South at about 5 pm yesterday (July 15). When a 38-year-old staff returned to the godown at about 7.45 am this morning, he found that the godown was ransacked. Two medium goods vehicle parked outside the godown and about 54 000 numbers of semi-finished LCD monitors with a market value of about US$1.2 million were found missing. A report was made to the Police.

Investigations by the Regional Crime Unit Of New Territories North are proceeding.

Anyone who might have witnessed the incident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2666 3475 or 2666 4339.

Police also remind the public when someone offers them semi-finished LCD monitors of dubious origins to report to the investigating officers or any Police stations.
