Appeal for information on abandoned child (with photo)

Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a child who was found abandoned at Shek O on July 13.

At about 10.35 am on July13, a life guard found a girl aged about six to eight sitting on Shek O Beach. A report was then made to the Police.

Standing about 1.3 metres tall, the girl with short hair was wearing a pink t-shirt with a word "Sweet", a pair of black trousers and with bare feet when found. The girl carried no properties in her possession.

Police urged the relatives of the child or anyone who has information to offer to contact the investigating officers at 2595 2254 or the Chai Wan Police Station at 2595 2200.
