Public urged not to bring prohibited items to the venues of Equestrian Event

Police today (August 12) called on members of the public not to bring prohibited items which could be used as a weapon or constituted a threat to public safety and good order to the competition venues of Good Luck Beijing - HKSAR 10th Anniversary Cup.

A Police spokesman said that Police took a serious attitude towards the security control over the possession of all the prohibited items clearly laid down in the House Rules displayed at the venues.

He reminded all spectators that they were bound by the terms and conditions of the ticket published by the Organiser and all the spectators should follow the House Rules accordingly.

"The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any spectator who fails to comply with the House Rules or is disruptive to the Event of the enjoyment, comfort or safety of other spectators," the spokesman said.

"Persons, who deliberately act contrary to house rules, may be removed from the venues and if their acts are contrary to the Laws of Hong Kong they may be arrested by the Police," he added.
