Fatal traffic accident in Tai Po

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tai Po this afternoon (November 6) in which a 61-year-old woman was killed.

About 3.15pm, a private car being driven by 32 -year-old man was traveling along Tai Po Tai Wo Road towards Nam Wan Road. At the junction with Ting Kok Road, the private car hit the woman who was crossing the road.

The woman, who sustained serious head injuries, was taken to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital where she was certified dead at 3.52pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are proceeding.
