Fatal traffic accident in Kwai Chung

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Kwai Chung this afternoon (November 6) in which a 48-year-old woman was killed.

About 4.20pm, a medium goods vehicle being driven by a 24-year-old man was traveling along Kwai Yan Road south bound carriageway. While reaching near the Kwai Fong MTR exit, the medium goods vehicle hit the woman who was crossing the road.

The woman, who sustained serious head injuries, was certified dead at scene.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are proceeding.
